Shotcrete

Shotcrete is indispensable in underground construction. It can be applied flexibly even under most adverse conditions.

Creep and initial strength

Thanks to short initial setting time, considerable ground pressures can be taken up within hours, whilst, due to its high creep capacity, overstressing of shotcrete is avoided to a large extent.

IGT applies sophisticated constitutive models for shotcrete behaviour in underground conditions which account for:

strength development over time
cracking under tension
bursting under excessive compression
increasing deformation under constant load (creep)
decreasing stresses under constant strain (relaxation)

The robust implementation of the shotcrete model allows its everyday application.
