After Dr. L. Müller´s appointment as Professor of Rock Mechanics at the University of Karlsruhe, F. Pacher took over the management and the engineering firm GEOTECHNIK UND TUNNELBAU was born.
From 1960 to 1974 the firm worked in close cooperation with Prof. Dr. L. v. Rabcewicz, leading to the development of the “New Austrian Tunnelling Method” (NATM)
